Our Foundations

OurFoundations, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community-based organization in the United States, and it operates thriving community-centered programs in West Africa. We focus on helping the people of West Africa where millions live in underserved communities.

Healthcare

Communities challenged with the lack of basic needs, including clean water, food, clothes, appropriate shelter, reliable transportation, education, electricity, and health care priorities, are mostly relegated to a few scarce resources.

In such areas, clinical facilities are in poor conditions and lack the human capital to care for the sick population. Some places we visited do not have a reliable water source or poor quality of water for their patients and the health care workers. Common facilities like bathrooms are in poor conditions and not appropriate for children and the sick.

Construction

Compelled by the challenges faced by school children, farmers, and participants of religious and other activities, we found it a moral imperative to create roads to connect these communities to the towns where these services are rendered. Our construction projects are profound but straightforward. They are the paths to a better quality of life. The motorable roads make it possible for farmers in the villages to bring their crops to the market to sell and generate capital and funds for their families. Roads are foundations of economic development and fundamental to other significant.human and community advancements.

Education

Education is a sustainable means to alleviate poverty and bring lasting change. Together we can make a difference for future leaders. Join The Village, our community of monthly donors, to provide access to education and life-changing opportunities for future leaders in Africa.

Getting an education is not just a fundamental human right. It is pivotal to increasing employment and income opportunities. It is fundamental to breaking the cycle of poverty. Education is the key to unlocking the golden door of freedom for all in Africa.

Africa

Globally, countries are faced with health system problems which vary from one to the next. While health service delivery challenges are more often seen in countries with a very high Human Development Index (HDI), human resources challenges attract more attention within those with a low HDI.

Healthcare systems in Africa have, over the years, suffered from man-made issues which cut across institutional, human resources, financial, technical and political developments.
