David Woods

After studying political science at the University of Pittsburgh, David spent 15 years in the full-time ministry serving in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, London, England, and Delaware. In 2003 he and his wife moved to Delaware, where he began his nonprofit fundraising and community development career. David helped start the Nativity Preparatory School of Wilmington and then led Social Venture Partners Delaware. He was integral in creating quality programs and systemic changes for some of Delaware’s most at-risk communities in both of these roles. Today, he is the Director of Fund Development and Engagement for Autism Delaware. David has served as a Trustee on the Tatnall School board since 2009 and is a founding member of the Diversity Equity and Community Steering Committee. In addition, David has served as the senior advisor to the Youth Philanthropy Board of the Delaware Community Foundation since 2006. David has been married to his wife Denise for 24 years and has three daughters: Kayla, Kimmi, and Krissa. They are all active members of the Greater Philadelphia Church of Christ.
